A Continuation of Stewardship at Waredaca Farm

Our newest installation is a rooftop system on the barn at Waredaca Farm!  Waredaca is a horse farm that offers lessons and boarding with the Waredaca Brewing Company located right on site.  The farm (which was first established in 1932) has always focused on, and continues to focus on, a “tradition of kids, horses and family.”

With its agricultural operations, the farm utilizes as many organic practices as possible, and is conscientious about the degree of their sustainable land use.  As a result, the farm received agricultural stewardship recognition from the Maryland FSCAP (Farm Stewardship Certification and Assessment Program).

Wanting to expand on their stewardship efforts, third-generation family-owned Waredaca decided to go with renewable energy sourcing.  With several different structures located onsite, rooftop solar was a great fit.  Aurora designed & installed a 10.4 kW system projected to offset all the energy needs of the structure.
