Aurora Energy Practices in the Era of COVID-19

In this sudden world of social distancing, self-quarantine and new layers of safety precautions, Aurora Energy has put together a list of Best Practices for our customers, employees, partners and community in this incredibly challenging time.

For our customers:

We are still moving forward with planned installations for the spring and summer months, utilizing added precautions while we are on your job site.  Permitting, interconnection, procurement, engineering and design are still happening from our remote work locations.

For customers who have generating systems, our service department continues to monitor your sites remotely.  If any service issues arise at your site or you have any production questions, you can email us at service@aurora-energy.com and we will respond promptly.  Your issues will be assessed on an individual basis and remedied as best as possible while keeping our customers and employees safe.

For prospective customers who want to explore the idea of solar for their site, our business development manager is available any time to discuss your options.  He can be reached at don@aurora-energy.com

For our employees:

For the time being, we will be visiting job sites as needed and only under strict OSHA-recommended precautionary measures.  While onsite, our employees will practice 6-foot individual distances.  Each scheduled installation will be planned in advance with distancing and workplace measures in mind along with our normal safety precautions taken when installing any solar electric system.

Our office staff will be working remotely until further notice, but will be checking the general voicemail box on a regular basis.  We are always reachable through info@aurora-energy.com for general requests and/or inquiries.

Our sales team will generally be assessing sites remotely with the use of various satellite capabilities.  If site visits are required, we will be using OSHA-recommended job site protocols.

For our community:

As a business that has been headquartered in Howard County MD for over 25 years, and has installed hundreds of solar energy systems throughout MD, VA and DC our hearts go out to members of our community suffering from this dangerous virus.  We would also like to thank healthcare givers and first responders who are putting their safety on the line to save others.

As a company, we have contacted the State of Maryland and our local counties to ask how our employees can help during this crisis.  As assessed needs change throughout the duration of the crisis, our employees remain ready to help in any way we can.

Stay safe, everyone-

The Aurora Energy Team
