For REV Energy Ventures, adding rooftop solar to this Washington D.C. hotel’s energy mix was a natural solution. The challenge for the chosen installer would be the relatively high number of roof obstructions. With that in mind, REV chose Aurora becasue they needed to find a solar EPC with strong engineering capabilities in order to design the most efficient array with the highest possible production.

Through innovative ideas, Aurora Energy was able to design a system that utilized out-of-the-box thinking and creative engineering to find the solutions that met the client’s needs.

project results

Utilizing the Rec Alpha series modules and SolarEdge inverters & optimizers, this hotel property is producing its own clean rooftop power, while removing 112 metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere annually. With a pay-back period of just over 3 years, the property will see the solar benefits from very early in the life of the system, and increase each additional year for decades to come.
